Have a Heroic Summer!

Here at the art shop we're super excited for the release of the the biggest summer blockbuster of 2018, Avengers: Infinity War, and so we decided to theme our window around superheroes in order to celebrate! Our window features prints from Dirty Hans and work from Nigel Cooke.

Avengers: Infinity War is available for viewing at the Stag Theatre now

Easter Opening Times

With Easter fast approaching, here at the Art Shop we've worked out our Easter opening times:

Good Friday (30th March): CLOSED

Saturday 31st March: Open as usual from 9:30 am to 5:00pm

Easter Sunday (1st April): CLOSED

Easter Monday (2nd April): CLOSED

From then on we're open as usual!

Springtime Celebrations

It's officially Spring here in the Art Shop, and we're fully underway in celebrating it's many festivities! We have plenty of Mother's Day cards in stock for that last minute "panic buy", but mostly our shop is all prepared for Easter! 

Our Easter themed window, as pictured above, features art products that we sell in store in a range of Springtime colours, as well as work from Sam Toft, Debbie Boon, Graeme Lothian and Penny Lindop.

We've also decided to dedicate a whole window to the increasingly popular Quentin Blake illustrations; being nostalgic and full of humor, they would make a perfect gift for Mother's Day or Easter. 

We'd love to see you in the shop sometime soon, so why not come and take a look at the amazing pictures that we have in the gallery?

Sporting Heroes

This week in Sevenoaks Art Shop we've chosen to theme our windows around Rugby, in honor of the Six Nations going on at the moment, and superheroes. Our superhero window includes our very popular MARVEL and DC superhero prints by Dirty Hans. In our Rugby window on the other hand, we have signed and framed Rugby shirts, and work from P. Cornwell. We can also frame any other sporting shirts or memorabilia that you may have, just bring it into the shop and we'll have a look and see what we can do!

Recently we've have a bit of a clear-out of our mount stock in the workshop, and so we're selling packs of 10 mount board scraps for £2.50 a pack - we have a very limited amount of these packs and so come in as soon as possible, as once they're gone, they're gone! They include all sorts of colours and finishes, in many different sizes, and so there is plenty of variety in between each pack, as each one is different from the rest. 

Graeme Lothian

This week at Sevenoaks Art Shop we have dedicated 2 windows to show the latest work of local artist Graeme Lothian. Graeme is a contemporary war artist, but when he is not in war zones he enjoys getting out and painting local country scenes. We have a variety of work featuring recognisable scenes of Sevenoaks and of the surrounding area for sale, along with some behind the scenes photographs of Graeme at work, as well as some of his military memorabilia on show.

Pink Week for Breast Cancer Care

This week's window is themed around Breast Cancer Awareness, due to October being its official month, we've dressed out window with the pink and orange.. It features work from Graeme Lothian and Sam Toft, as well as various pink and orange art materials that we stock currently. We really hope that this helps create awareness and more knowledge of the wonderful events organised in Sevenoaks in order to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. Back to School

Our new window this week features prints from Fletcher Sibthorp's "Quiet Space" series, as well as a couple of pieces by Melvyn Evans.

We also have a special offer on our Daler Rowney Georgian Oil Paints - they have been reduced to only £3.25!

Also, in store we have some great pencil sets for anyone who's returning back to school soon and is looking for some snazzy and expressive stationery that will stand out from the crowd! Ranging from the "Depressed" pencil set to the "Storyteller" pencil set, you are bound to find a set that is perfect for you!

This Week in the Window!

This week's window incorporates on-trend tones of blue and gold, as well as scenes that celebrate nature as summer comes to a close. It features pieces from Sam Toft, Debbie Boon, Graeme Lothian and Melvyn Evans.

Store Updates & New Promarkers

Things are changing here at Sevenoaks Art Shop! If you visit us in store you'll see that the layout has changed rather dramatically, and we've added new stock; you can read more about this below. 

Also there is new artwork in the gallery that you're more than welcome to come and view.

Winsor & Newton's Promarkers are an essential for every artist. They come in a bold variety of translucent colours, and are an incredibly versatile medium - for graphic design on paper to work on ink resistant surfaces such as wood, glass and plastic, the pens perform fantastically well!!

Each pen is dual ended, with one broad end and one fine bullet nib. The ink inside them is alcohol-based and blend-friendly which is perfect for giving streak free coverage.

Each pen retails for £2.75 and are available in store now!

New to the Gallery for July! featuring Penny Lindop

New additions have come in this week including fun, unique pieces by Penny Lindop, hand crafted with real sheep's wool to create characterful designs.
As always we have a large stock of works by Sam Toft in a range of sizes all framed in our workshop using high quality moldings that are available with our bespoke framing service.

Looking Bright for Spring

With the first signs of spring appearing and Mother's Day just around the corner we've put together a fresh window display with a sample of our beautiful Caroline Gardner Mother's Day cards. Also in the window we have limited edition prints by Debbie Boon that are so full of life and character, our favorite has to be the springer spaniel, just look at those ears!
Along with many new prints this week we have also had a recent restock from 'Retro Lamp Works' with more unique lamps now in our gallery.
